6S 22.2V 100A Lithium BMS – Reliable Protection for High-Current NMC Battery Packs
Built for builders and technicians who need dependable cell-level management in a 6-cell series lithium configuration, this 6S Battery Management System (BMS) delivers 100A continuous current handling for a wide range of 22.2V NMC pack applications. The board combines protection, monitoring, and balancing into one compact, heatsink-mounted assembly that is straightforward to wire and install.
A unified same-port output means a single connector pair handles both charging and discharging, keeping the pack wiring clean and reducing the chance of miswiring. Each of the six cells is monitored independently by the integrated IC, which triggers protection immediately when any cell reaches its overcharge threshold of 4.25V or drops below its safe discharge floor of 2.80V. This per-cell monitoring is paired with passive equalisation that gradually brings all cells to the same voltage level during every charge cycle.
The board ships with a balance wire harness and includes a JST-compatible socket where an external temperature probe can be fitted. When connected, the thermal interface automatically shuts down the board if pack temperature climbs beyond safe limits — making it well suited to sealed enclosures where heat has limited escape. The aluminium heatsink and reinforced copper PCB traces provide the thermal pathway needed for continuous 100A draws without hotspot formation on the switching transistors.
This BMS is well matched to 22.2V lithium packs used in mid-size inverters, electric scooters, power tool battery rebuilds, and DC energy storage systems where consistent, protected output is a priority.
